Infrastructure partner, Tara Mackay, moves to New York Office
TORONTO, May 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Torys is pleased to announce that Tara Mackay transferred from our Toronto office to our New York office effective May 1, 2013. Tara will continue her infrastructure and public-private partnerships (P3) practice from New York, advising clients on major capital projects in the Unites States, Canada and internationally.
Tara is a partner in our Infrastructure and Energy Group and a key member of our P3 practice. She has acted on over 30 P3 projects as well as energy, mining and other major capital projects. Tara is now our key contact partner in New York for P3 matters, and she joins the team of over 50 U.S.-called Torys lawyers available to assist clients involved in projects in the United States.

The Canadian P3 market has recently been one of the most active in the world, with 180 projects valued at over $60 billion now completed or underway, and the U.S. P3 market is expanding strongly. As the U.S. P3 market gains momentum, Torys expertise in Canada and our established U.S. infrastructure platform will allow us to provide current, practical and market-tested advice on U.S. P3 transactions.
