Touchstorm Taps Jason Krebs in Advisory Role on Go-to-Market Strategy for Hybrid Video Platform
Online Video Pioneer, Visionary and Thought Leader Enlisted to Launch Sales, Marketing, Content and Technology Strategies for Arena, Accepts Permanent Advisory Board Position
NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Touchstorm, the pioneering company that has led the movement to turn brands into publishers by developing and distributing editorial branded content, today announced the addition of Jason Krebs to its advisory board where he will assist in the development of the go-to-market strategies for Touchstorm's recently launched hybrid video platform, Arena. Krebs, who has held various leadership positions with Tremor Video, ShortTail Media, The New York Times and Conde Nast, is widely known as a digital media pioneer and has forged a reputation as a catalyst in creating opportunities for brands across established and emerging content platforms.
Immediately, Krebs will provide consulting services for the launch of Touchstorm's Arena, the industry's first video solution that offers brands a truly native environment for hybrid video content. Officially launched in early 2013, Arena will solve a growing demand for a video delivery vehicle measured by actual views and delivered in a truly native environment. Krebs will work with Touchstorm's sales, marketing and technology teams to optimize the Arena platform and strengthen its presence in the marketplace.
"Brilliant, brave, and hysterical. That's Jason. And like us, he's totally dedicated to improving our industry and charting its bright future. When Jason is around, the whole organization moves faster, gets smarter, and laughs a lot," said Touchstorm Founder and CEO Alison Provost. "He's a spectacular leader and I'm thrilled to have his help. With his incredible track record of success, I am positive he will accelerate the momentum of Arena and also add another level of innovation to our entire company."
"Through Arena, Touchstorm has addressed several fundamental issues in both content production and distribution," said Krebs. "With so few vehicles that are able to validate legitimate view counts or provide contextually relevant environments for branded content, this is a terrific opportunity to work with a product that effectively fills these voids in the market. We all know there are lots of organizations doing tricks with math and algorithms that don't serve real client needs. It is great to work with a company that has real solutions, makes the pretenders nervous (you know who you are) and has fun doing it."
Touchstorm's advisory board also includes: Bob Barton, experienced client-side chief marketer and current investment fund manager; John Glander, entrepreneurial whiz; Bernhard Glock, former global advertising lead for P&G and current head of the Bernhard Glock Media Leadership Company; Steve Kimball, Chasm Group principal; Jack Myers, media economist and chairman of Media Advisory Group; and David Shulman, CEO of digital marketing agency Organic.
