Toys"R"Us, Inc. Announces 'Price Match Guarantee' on All Items Available In Its Stores This Holiday Season

WAYNE, N.J., Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Toys"R"Us, Inc. today announced that it will offer "Price Match Guarantee" on all items available in its Toys"R"Us^® and Babies"R"Us^® stores nationwide, helping customers to stretch their budgets further this holiday season.  Now through Christmas Eve, the company will match competitors' in-store pricing on identical items, any time a customer presents a local competitors' current, valid print advertisement showing the item available for less.  In addition, if a customer finds an item sold in Toys"R"Us or Babies"R"Us stores available for less on Toysrus.com or Babiesrus.com, the company will match the online price^*.

The launch of Price Match Guarantee adds to the strong lineup of consumer benefits being offered by Toys"R"Us this holiday season, such as Free Layaway and Hot Toy Reservation, and solidifies its position as the definitive destination for toy-buying this Christmas. These services are designed to help parents and gift-givers ensure they can get everything on their little one's wish list – hassle-free and at great prices – all season long.

In addition to matching competitors' prices at the time a purchase is made, customers have the opportunity to receive a price adjustment at an "R"Us store if an item they purchased is advertised at a lower price at a local competitor within seven days of their original purchase, as long as they have a valid receipt. The difference will be given back to the customer in the same form of payment in which the original purchase was made.

Prices will be matched after deducting any Toys"R"Us coupon savings and other offers from the price. Items known to be widely out of stock or available in limited quantities will be excluded from the company's Price Match Guarantee. Category offers, "Buy One, Get One" offers, gifts with purchase, percent off discounts and doorbuster items are also excluded. Price Match Guarantee will not be available on Black Friday.
