BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., June 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Tracinda Corporation ("Tracinda"), a private investment company, today announced with great sadness the passing of its founder Kirk Kerkorian, on the evening of June 15, 2015. Mr. Kerkorian was 98.

Over the span of his seven-decade business career he was a longtime majority owner of Las Vegas entertainment company MGM Resorts International and film company Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. He also was deeply involved as an investor in the U.S. automotive industry and quietly devoted himself to philanthropic endeavors.
