PROVIDENCE, R.I., Aug. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Trade Area Systems (TAS), makers of the leading enterprise software platform for the retail real estate industry, has for the second consecutive year been included in Inc. Magazine's Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.
TAS achieved 77% growth over a three-year period, with 2016 revenue at $3.6m. Of the Rhode Island companies on this year's Inc. 5000 list, TAS ranked number four.
TAS customers include Family Dollar, 7-Eleven, and Regency Centers.
"Since our 2016 Inc. 5000 inclusion, we have continued on a path of significant growth, while undergoing major changes that have strengthened us even further," says Joe Rando, TAS co-founder and Chairman. "We're once again thrilled to receive this honor and hope to keep TAS moving forward into 2018.
In early 2017, TAS relocated from Massachusetts to a new state-of-the-art headquarters in downtown Providence, RI, as part of the state's pilot initiative to attract new businesses. The company also underwent a major rebranding, including a new product website, that has increased sales activity significantly since launch.
"Our new homepage prominently and proudly reads, "Moving Retail Real Estate Forward." And that's exactly what we've been doing with our existing and new retail customers, by providing them with an ever-evolving suite of software solutions that help them make superior decisions about their site selection and other retail operations in what has become an increasingly disruptive industry climate," says Bill Dakai, co-founder and technical architect who assumed the role of CEO & President at the beginning of the year.
