Trai Thien Announces 82% Increase in Revenues Through Third Quarter Financials
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Trai Thien USA (OTC Bulletin Board: TRTH) filed its 10Q for the quarter ended September 30, 2010 with an 82% increase in revenues as compared to the same period 2009. Revenues for the period were $2,997,243 as compared to $1,651,298 for the third quarter 2009. This increase was primarily due to the launching of two new owner-operated vessels with capacity of 4,300 DWT ("deadweight tonnage") each attributing to an increase of 64% in the total capacity of Trai Thien's fleet from 13,390 DWT during the three months ended September 30, 2009 to 21,990 DWT during the three months ended September 30, 2010. With the increase in the Company's fleet deadweight tonnage, it was able to increase the number of nautical trips from 10 trips during the three months ended September 30, 2009 to 28 trips during the three months ended September 30, 2010, or an increase of 180%. Trai Thien is a fast-growing Vietnam-based dry bulk shipping company specializing in providing ocean transportation services for raw material input items in Southeast Asia through a fleet of owner-operated and term-leased geared vessels.
