
TransGlobal Energy® Appoints Gerry Wells Director of Special Projects
CUMMING, Ga., Jan. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- TransGlobal Energy® has appointed Gerry Wells as the Director of Special Projects.
Wells gained his initial power generation experience after graduation from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point NY and serving as a licensed 3rd and 2nd engineering officer. Mr. Wells' experience includes management, engineering, design, procurement, construction and commissioning and O&M capacities on gas, oil and coal fired, simple cycle, combined cycle, nuclear, Waste-to-Energy and cogeneration projects. Mr Wells was also responsible for the Site Management of one of the world largest RO desalinization project to date. During his career he has held positions as, Project Engineering Manager, Consortium Commissioning Manager, Director of Startup and Warranty, Site Manager, Owners Representative, O&M Director. Mr. Wells equipment experience includes MHI 501, Siemens V84.2, ABB GT10 and GT26; GE Frame 6, 7EA, 7FA and 9EA gas turbines in 2x1, 1x1 and 1x1 single shafts configurations; GE LM units, GE, Allis Chalmers, Siemens, Hitachi and Westinghouse steam turbines; wood, PC, stoker and FBC Boilers/HRSGs; GE Mark V and Mark VI, ABB/Bailey, Foxboro, Westinghouse TXP and Ovation Distributed Control systems along with NEM, ATS, Rentech, B&W, Foster Wheeler, ABB/CE, Deltak, B&W-Hitachi, Pyropower Boilers/HRSG's.
