Transitions Optical Kicks-Off Voting Contest for "Top 10 Sights to See" in Chicago as part of Multi-City "Sightseeing City Tour"

WHAT:

To prepare for the next stop on its 2012 multi-city tour, Transitions Optical, along with input from "The Gutsy Traveler" and national travel expert Marybeth Bond, has compiled the "Top 25 Sights to See" in Chicago at www.seemoresights.com – and is asking travel enthusiasts – tourists and Chicago locals alike – to vote on which of those attractions and things to do they think make up the Top 10 Sights to See in the Chicago area. By voting, you will be entered to win an exciting trip for two to Charleston, South Carolina.  

The final Top 10 Sights to See will be revealed in conjunction with the Taste of Chicago – and videos featuring Marybeth Bond, the "Official Sightseer," sharing additional "insider" information about each of the Sights will be available online following the event.

WHY:

As the Official Sponsor of Sightseeing, Transitions Optical is planning its Sightseeing City Tour this year with stops in Miami, Dallas, Seattle, Chicago, and New Orleans. Leading up to the Chicago stop, which is taking place on July 11 – 15 as part of Taste of Chicago, Transitions Optical is asking for tourists and Chicago locals to vote on the Top 10 Sights to See which will be revealed in conjunction with the event. In addition to voting for the Top 10 Sights to See, while on-site at Taste of Chicago, Transitions Optical and Visionworks will be inviting attendees to have their photos taken at a kiosk against the scenic background of their choice and to enter their photo into the Sight of the Day Photo Contest for the chance to win a grand prize 10-day trip to the Galapagos Islands. Additionally, they will distribute materials which include more information about each of the Top 10 Sights to See, healthy vision tips and coupon offers for eyewear redeemable at local Visionworks locations; as part of the experience, Visionworks will also be conducting complimentary vision screenings for adults and children.
