Travel Holdings, Inc. Adds Managing Director

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Travel Holdings, Inc., a leading worldwide travel distribution company, has named Ted Jansen as President and Managing Director of Travel Holdings eCommerce. Jansen will lead the business division for the consumer-facing websites in the Travel Holdings, Inc. portfolio, which includes LastMinuteTravel.com, Last Minute Travel Club, LastMinuteCruises.com, and EasyClickTravel.com.

Jansen comes to the company after spending the last two years as President and CEO of IBG, Inc., a wine industry e-commerce direct-to-market company.  He provided strategic direction that helped the company raise over $17 million in capital investment while cutting costs by 40 percent. Jansen also led the creation of the industry's first-ever direct-to-trade marketplace through WineRevolution.com, which allowed wineries to sell directly to restaurants and retailers in 14 states.

Jansen also served as a Senior Vice President Product and Retail at Expedia, Inc., where he managed the retail operations of Expedia.com, the world's largest travel marketplace. Prior to his work at Expedia, he spent nearly seven years working for The Walt Disney Company, where he led the development of Disney Parks' ecommerce initiatives.
