treasure&bond Begins Voting Process for Its Next Set of Non-Profit Beneficiaries

NEW YORK, April 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- treasure&bond, the philanthropy-based store in Soho has started the voting process for the selection of its next set of non-profit organization beneficiaries. Final beneficiaries will be selected for the third (August-October 2012) and fourth (November 2012-January 2013) quarters. Voters may cast their vote by coming into the Nordstrom-owned boutique where 100% of profits are donated to nonprofit organizations benefiting New York City children. Results will be posted daily in the store and the voting window ends April 30. Finalists will be announced May 5.
The nine semi-finalist organizations are:
American Museum of Natural History : Since its founding well over a century ago, the Museum has advanced its global mission to discover, interpret, and disseminate—through scientific research and education—knowledge about human cultures, the natural world, and the universe.
Girls Write Now: Distinguished as one of the top 15 after-school arts and culture programs in the nation by The President's Committee on Arts & Humanities, Girls Write Now (GWN) is the first organization in the United States with a writing/mentoring model exclusively for girls.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to blood cancers. With a mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
National Dance Institute: National Dance Institute has been transforming young lives in New York City for 35 years with arts education programming that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit of each and every child we serve regardless of background or ability.
Pajama Program: Pajama Program provides new books and new pajamas to children in need, many who are waiting and hoping to be adopted.
