Trend Micro Deep Security Named One of 2012's Best Privacy Technologies by The Patient Privacy Rights Advocacy Group

CUPERTINO, Calif., July 11, 2012 The award was based on Trend Micro's customer work with Beth Israel Deaconess Physicians Organization (BIDPO), the physician organization for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston MA, which provides integrated and coordinated managed care contracts and related medical management programs medical management services in support of its 1,500+ members throughout eastern Massachusetts. 

Prior to partnering with Trend Micro, BIDPO was faced with the on-going challenges of keeping up with physician practice growth, offering a single patient medical record accessible at all medical offices, meeting HIPAA, ARRA and HITECH requirements, and, most importantly, ensuring that all patient records and communications were secure and kept private.

After deploying Trend Micro Deep Security, BIDPO achieved a security infrastructure that provides system and application security across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. BIDPO was also able to mitigate the potential risks for virtual servers and protect patient data, as well as reduce the risk of sensitive Protected Health Information from being exposed should a security breach occur.
