Trespa Opens New Design Centre in Santiago, Chile -- Inaugural Event for World Leader in Architectural Materials

SANTIAGO DE CHILE, Chile, April 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The world-leading architectural materials company Trespa has announced the grand opening of their Trespa Design Centre in Santiago, Chile's Providencia district, opening to a VIP preview and inaugural reception. According to the company, the new Trespa Design Centre Santiago will serve as an inspirational space where architects, designers and building owners can meet for design education, project solutions, inspirational events and unique exhibits.

This is the third Trespa Design Centre opened by the Dutch company, following its opening of Design Centre locations in New York and Barcelona. "The fact that we're opening on a third continent is a clear illustration of our global network and continued commitment to being a market leader," says Remon Veraart, Director Americas for Trespa. "It demonstrates the importance we place on customer intimacy and our passion for spreading high-end architectural cladding solutions throughout the world."

The three Design Centres will build on synergies and coordinated programs to add value to architectural communities in North America, Europe and South America, Veraart adds.

The announcement comes just four years after Trespa North America's widely praised decision to establish the Trespa Design Centre New York in Manhattan's Soho district. "We opened the Trespa Design Centre in SoHo to establish a local presence close to the architectural community," says Veraart. "This has now become a global strategy, with Spain and Chile reflecting our global reach and the breadth of our portfolio."

Trespa Design Centre Santiago is located in the trendy and artsy commune of Providencia, in a building right next door to the new headquarters of the A.O.A, the Architects Offices Association.

"The choice of this location was very important for Trespa as it is a connection point with three neighborhoods – Las Condes, Providencia and Vitacura – where the majority of the architects and certainly the most important architecture firms are concentrated," says Jose Bento, general manager of the new facility. "On top of that, we'll benefit from visitors to the A.O.A, an important touchstone and cultural venue that draws architects here."

Launching innovative, colorful materials

To celebrate the occasion, Trespa's team in Latin America has invited leading designers, architects, partner businesses and dignitaries from Chile and the Netherlands to an opening celebration at the storefront showroom space, located at Eliodoro Yanez 2831, Torre A - Local 1, in the heart of Providencia's budding design district. While the new Trespa Design Centre is set amid other showrooms and boutiques, leaders from Trespa are on hand to detail the unique mission of their modern, stylish facility to invited guests today.

Unprecedented in all of South America, the Trespa Design Centre Santiago showcases Trespa's unique portfolio of products including Trespa Meteon, a globally acclaimed solid cladding material known for vibrant colors, technical rigor and long-term durability and performance. Prominently displayed in the new space are colorful presentations of Trespa products in an array of colors, patterns and textures.
