Tri-County Black Chamber of Commerce Extends Service Area to Galveston County at 5th Annual Plan of Work Conference and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
HOUSTON, Jan. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Since 2005, a carefully crafted conference and annual meeting has served to disseminate valuable and innovative business information, establish attainable goals and highlight members of the Tri-County Black Chamber of Commerce (TCBCC) within Harris County. This year, the organization's reach expands with the installation of Galveston County as a chamber service area.
The 2011 Conference theme "Business: Delivering Expectations" focus is to achieve TCBCC's core objectives - Business Development, Business Education and Business Advocacy.
The full weekend of events includes the Conference on February 25, 2011 from 8:00am to 3:00pm at Moody Gardens Hotel & Convention Center in Galveston, Texas and the Annual Meeting held on February 26, 2011 at the Old Center Cultural Center from 9:00am to 12:00pm. TCBCC's 2011-2014 Board of Directors and the Galveston County Advisory will be installed at the Conference Luncheon. Outstanding Chamber members and community leaders from Harris County and Galveston County will be honored as well.
Conference attendees will kick off the day with a ribbon-cutting celebration and participate in workshops, business coaching sessions, panel presentations and networking. A key component of the conference day will focus on Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB), Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MWBE), Certification, Procurement and Bid Processes.
This year's conference promises to provide companies with unique opportunities to network with small, minority and women sub-contractors delivering quality products and services at competitive market prices.
The 2011 Plan of Work Conference is open to entrepreneurs, professionals and the general public. To participate in the conference, registration price for general admission, which includes Luncheon and all Conference activities, is $65.
