Tribal Technologies Announces New Board Member: Allen Morgan

SAN MATEO, Calif., June 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tribal Technologies (www.tribaltech.com), the groundbreaking mobile technology company that created the first intelligent database behind mobile applications to predict consumer behaviors and interactions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Allen Morgan as a new member of its Board of Directors.

Mr. Morgan is an active, early-stage private investor and startup company advisor, as well as the Managing Director, New Ventures Group, at Idealab in Pasadena, California (www.idealab.com), where he is also a member of the Board of Directors.  In addition, Mr. Morgan is a Venture Advisor at Mayfield Fund (www.mayfield.com), where he was a Managing Director for 12 years.

Mr. Morgan has spent more than 30 years advising startups in Silicon Valley, New York, and Los Angeles.  His areas of principal investment focus, both in his personal angel capacity, as well as in running the Idealab New Ventures Group, are on start-ups in the area of social media, consumer Internet services (both consumer-facing and infrastructure), interactive entertainment, online advertising, ecommerce, and new media.

Prior to joining Mayfield in 1999, he was a partner with two Silicon Valley law firms, Latham & Watkins and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.  He earned an undergraduate degree (summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) from Dartmouth College, a second bachelor's degree and master's degree from Oxford University (Christ Church), and a J.D. from the University of Virginia.  Among others, Mr. Morgan is on the Boards of Directors of Fab.com, Klout, ViralHeat, and Oversee.net.
