Tribogenics Expands X-Ray Development Team With Key Hires

MARINA DEL REY, Calif., May 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Tribogenics, the pioneer of innovative X-ray solutions, announced today that it has added three key members to its research and development team. The new team members expand the company's rapid prototyping and development program, and contribute their experience from premier technology groups to add to the scientific and technical capabilities of an already impressive team.

Rajat Roychoudhury, Ph.D., Director of Engineering, has over 15 years engineering and development expertise gained at a string of successful, fast-growth technology companies including KLA-Tencor, Photondynamics, Cognex and Lam Research. Dr. Roychoudhury brings his successful track record in taking products from inception to commercialization to Tribogenics and oversees the company's product development cycle.

Eric Wong, Ph.D., Senior R&D Engineer, has over 10 years professional experience in materials chemistry and integration. He has significant experience at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Harvard. Dr. Wong leads Tribogenics' material science program, which includes developing the polymer technology integrated into the company's X-Change™ cartridge, currently the world's smallest X-ray source.

Humberto Torreblanca, Ph.D., Senior R&D Engineer, comes to Tribogenics from Intel Corporation where he was a Senior Scientist and led development on their critical etch processes. His background in plasma physics and experience in parametric analysis is accelerating the company's prototyping work and helping prepare for volume production of its X-ray solutions.

With these additions, Tribogenics expands one of the strongest X-ray technology teams in the analytical instrument industry.
