TRICAST Hosts Annual Round Table Assessment of Mid-Market Pharmacy Benefit Managers, Specialty Providers

MILWAUKEE, Aug. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- TRICAST, Inc., the leading pharmacy data analytics company based out of Milwaukee, WI, conducted its annual Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) Round Table event this August. This event assists TRICAST in identifying trends in the industry while conducting the annual market-check. According to TRICAST CEO Greg Rucinski, "With so much consolidation occurring today, we feel it's prudent to evaluate the marketplace regularly, especially when many of these PBMs are potential acquisitions within the industry."

The discussion on high-cost specialty drugs unearthed a consensus among the PBMs indicating that specialty is likely to exceed 50% of drug spend over the next two years. Six PBMs as well as two Specialty entities were in attendance over the course of the event.
