Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare Celebrates 40th Anniversary

CHICAGO, Oct. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare, Inc., a non-profit behavioral healthcare Organization, on the city's north side, has come a long way since it first opened its doors in 1971. During its 40-year history, Trilogy has literally been a lifeline to tens of thousands of people who have mental illness and their family members.

CBS-2 news anchor Harry Porterfield will serve as special guest emcee at Trilogy's annual benefit "Kickin' The Blues 2011 - 40th Anniversary Celebration" to recognize achievements in mental health treatment and advocacy and to raise funds in support of Trilogy's Recovery-based programs. The organization's goal is to raise $50,000 to support mental health treatment, medical care and outreach services for the hundreds of consumers served annually.

The benefit celebration will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Loyola University Chicago, Kasbeer Hall, 25 E. Pearson. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction followed by a 7:00 p.m. dinner and live auction. Additionally, Illinois State Sen. Heather Steans will be presented the Trilogy "Legislative Partner in Recovery Award" for her dedication and unwavering efforts on behalf of people recovering from mental illnesses. A second award will be presented to Trilogy's "Partner in Recovery," Michael Gersten, owner of Morse L Drugs. Gersten is a longtime Trilogy supporter and staunch mental health advocate in the community.
