TruConnect and OTT TV Service YipTV Form Innovative Joint Marketing Agreement
Deal gives TruConnect mobile subscribers access to YipTV's live-channel TV broadcasts
DALLAS, June 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TruConnect, a rising brand among U.S. mobile companies, and YipTV, a new Over The Top (OTT) broadband television service, today announced a joint marketing agreement under which TruConnect customers can access YipTV's live-channel broadcasts of TV programs from around the globe in Q3 2015.
The offer from TruConnect, which provides wireless voice, messaging and data services across the nation, and YipTV will be available for $14.99 per month. TruConnect and YipTV, based in West Palm Beach, Fla., both share a common goal: reaching millions of multi-lingual consumers – particularly Spanish-speaking consumers – in the United States who are underserved by other sources of mobile and TV operators.
YipTV's full-featured Android and iOS apps enable its subscribers with mobile devices to use broadband wireless access to watch TV programs they choose from a lineup of more than 50 network channels including beIN SPORTS, Hola!TV, 52MX, LAS Latin American Sports, NTN24, LateleNovela Network, MiMusica that originate outside the United States. The agreement announced today extends that service to TruConnect customers, YipTV's first such arrangement with a wireless provider that offers 4G LTE data.

Under the agreement, TruConnect will preload the YipTV's Android app on its own custom-branded smartphones. TruConnect will also make YipTV's Android app available to its customers with Android smartphones, as well as offer the service to data-only customers using TruConnect's mobile hotspots.
