SMITHTOWN, N.Y., Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- There will be 4 performances of (mostly) TRUE THINGS - a monthly show that features true stories (with a twist) told live, without notes by people from all walks of life - during the 2015 Port Jefferson Dickens Festival on Saturday Dec. 5 at 2 and 7 pm, and Sunday December 6 at 2 and 5 pm, at Performing Arts Studio of New York, 224 E. Main St., Port Jefferson, NY. These shows will offer true stories on the theme "the holidays" and include stories about Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa. This unique entertainment has comedy, heart and the authenticity that audiences love about storytelling shows, but also includes a game that engages their attention and participation. All the stories in each show except one include carefully-crafted deceptions. The audience has an opportunity to question the storytellers about their stories, then votes for the person who told the unvarnished truth. Audience members who choose the correct person get a prize. Tickets are $10 if purchased online at www.lifestage.org or $15 at the door (cash only). The ticket price includes delicious holiday-flavored coffee made fresh, as well as tea, water and cookies.
