Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. Expands Investment Management Offerings

HOUSTON, Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co., LLC, (TPH) an integrated energy investment and merchant bank, today announced the expansion of its investment management efforts with the hiring of Paul Chambers as Portfolio Manager and the formation and registration of TPH Asset Management LLC.  During the past ten years, Mr. Chambers was the Global Sector Head of Energy and Utilities at Citadel Asset Management and previously led the global energy equity investment effort at UBS O'Connor.

Mr. Chambers joins Walker Moody, TPH's Head of Asset Management, hired earlier this year.  Mr. Moody previously worked for Goldman Sachs.  Leading the efforts of the new division, Mr. Moody evaluates strategic opportunities in asset management for TPH and is currently developing a platform of energy-specific investment opportunities in public securities which includes hiring energy-focused portfolio management talent and implementing an institutional quality asset management infrastructure. The firm will initially focus on an energy sector equity long/short offering and later, yield-oriented energy credit investments.

Paul Chambers serves as Portfolio Manager. Chambers has established his niche as an energy focused portfolio manager, previously serving as the Global Sector Head of Energy and Utility Equities at Citadel Asset Management. Prior to Citadel, Chambers served in a similar role at UBS O'Connor in Chicago. Chambers was recognized in Alpha Magazine as the top Energy Hedge Fund Manager in 2008 and, in 2009, Extel Survey named the European Energy Hedge Fund Team, headed by Chambers, as the top team within its field.

Walker Moody

Managing Director, Head of Asset Management

Walker Moody serves as Managing Director and Head of Asset Management.  Moody has operational responsibility for TPH's Asset Management Division, to include the strategic direction of the platform and oversight of the operations of the Asset Management Division.  Moody was previously at Goldman, Sachs & Co. within their Investment Management Division.
