IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Oomba.tv, the leading online broadcast channel to stream unique action sports and games, announces the addition of three new events to its holiday lineup including Speedgolf, the 2013 Ultimate Race of Champions and the MC WAR Battle Mania.

The Speedgolf charity event takes place at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore., on Dec. 22 to benefit the Ocular Melanoma Foundation. Coverage of the 2013 Ultimate Race of Champions, a 100K ultrarunning race in Breckenridge, Colo., will be broadcast on Oomba.tv on Dec. 28. Oomba.tv will close the year with the broadcast of the MC WAR Battle Mania, a hip-hop competition and festival in Atlanta on New Year's Eve.

Oomba.tv launched earlier this year with the live broadcast of the 2013 Speedgolf World Championships. Since its inaugural event, Oomba has reached more than 500,000 viewers through its expanded event and sport coverage including post-game coverage of the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational and motocross action from the MonarchMoto Pro Super-X Invitational. Speedgolf Fundraiser for Ocular Melanoma Foundation, Dec. 22

The Speedgolf fundraiser for Ocular Melanoma Foundation will take place at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore., on Dec. 22. Tim Scott, executive director of Speedgolf International and survivor of ocular melanoma, will play all five courses at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, totaling 85 holes, on the shortest day of the year to raise money for the Ocular Melanoma Foundation.

Donations will be accepted during the event and auction items will be announced during the live broadcast. All proceeds from the event will go to fund research for ocular melanoma, the most common primary eye cancer in adults. 2013 Ultimate Race of Champions, Dec. 28

The third annual Ultimate Race of Champions, the Ultrarunning World Championship, will be the first Oomba Premiere Event on Oomba.tv and premieres on Dec. 28.

The event takes place in Breckenridge, Colo., and features an international field of 150 runners. Participants compete in a 100K (62-mile) utlrarunning race from Breckenridge, Colo., to Vail, Colo., in sub-freezing temperatures and finish at the base of Vail Mountain. The course sends runners along ski resort trails and paved roads across Breckenridge, Frisco, Copper Mountain, Minturn and Vail.

The race includes top runners such as Geoff Roes, Dave Mackey, Anna Frost, Michael Wardian, Ian Sharman and Devon Yanko. Ultrarunning enthusiasts can view coverage of the race on Oomba.tv at 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. EST on Dec. 28, with replays scheduled for the weeks following and also available on-demand.

MC War Battle Mania, Dec. 31-Jan. 1

MC WAR Battle Mania is Atlanta's first New Year's Eve hip-hop festival and competition. Hosted by MC WAR, the Official Sport of Rap Battling, Battle Mania is a 14-hour long hip-hop event featuring Atlanta's most prolific hip-hop artists, dancers, disc jockeys, and producers.

The festival will feature a variety of contests and battles hosted by famous hip-hop artists including: The Countdown B-Boy/B-Girl Battle organized by Zulu Quic, a member of The Universal Zulu Nation and The Funk Lordz; The Beats & Breaks DJ Battle hosted by DJ Razah and DJ Butter Phingerz, runner up for the Atlanta DMC Championship; and The Beats & Breaks Producer battle hosted by Stroud of Hustle Gang, who has produced beats for artists such as TI, Young Dro and Trae the Truth.

The event will conclude with the Rap Battle which is headlined by two of the world's most famous battle rappers – Arsonal and Big T. Collectively, these two battle rappers have more than 10 million views on YouTube.com.

The festival will also feature performances by local and regional artists such as Rich Kidz, Yung Tone and Kick Stand.

Hip-hop fans and artists can watch the live webcast from noon on New Year's Eve to 2 a.m. on New Year's Day.
