TURFLOCK the new benchmark for performance turf
Turfstore.com, Inc introduces tuft bind specification of 10 lbs
CALHOUN, Ga., Jan. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- After the successful launch of the coating unit, Turfstore.com, Inc. is introducing the first meaningful specification for tuft bind called TURFLOCK. Tuftbind on TURFLOCK is measured in accordance to ASTM D 1335 standards and exceeds 10 lbs. with 26 oz. application. At higher tuft bind values the yarn can be locked more securely into the turf primary backings and increases durability of the product. "With our new technology and consequent focus on quality, we are able to raise the bar for Field products. We are now able to hold the filaments in the turf so that the durability of a Field is not affected by filament loss anymore," says John Tidwell, President of Turfstore. "This improvement together with our market leading, durable yarn creates an unmatched performance turf."
Turfstore.com with its partners has become the first supplier of artificial turf to integrate all critical manufacturing steps at one facility. This significantly shortens manufacturing lead times as well as gives outstanding flexibility to react to any special requirements or developmental needs.
