Turkey Announces Investment Incentives for U.S. at Upcoming Conferences

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Turkish Consulate General in Los Angeles and the Office of the Commercial Attache will host a one-day conference on "Investment Opportunities in Turkey" on January 22, 2013 at The Convention Center in Los Angeles, California. The event is part of a series of conferences in San Francisco and Seattle aimed at encouraging greater investment by US companies in a variety of markets in Turkey.
The conferences will feature Mr. Ibrahim Uslu, Director General of Incentive Implementation and Foreign Investment at the Ministry of Economy in Turkey and a team of officials from Turkey. The speakers will give reports on a variety of Turkish markets and introduce new government incentives and regulations.
"Half of Turkey's population is under 30 years of age and Turkey is one of the fastest growing economies of the world," said Gurkan Suzer, the Commercial Attache for Turkey in Los Angeles. "Despite the financial turmoil around the world, Turkey offers great investment opportunities," he added.
Attendees will include US investment consultants, representatives of banks and financial institutions, faculty members at business schools, and representatives of major companies in Los Angeles.
