Turner Investments Welcomes Three To Its Management Team

BERWYN, Pa., July 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Investments is pleased to welcome three seasoned professionals to its management team. Robert Baird, CPA was appointed Chief Operating & Accounting Officer, Jena Weaver Dietrich was named Director of Marketing, and Erik Hagar, CFA was appointed Senior Portfolio Specialist for the firm.

Robert Baird, CPA joins Turner as Chief Operating & Accounting Officer, bringing 20 years of deep financial experience with both private and registered funds to the position.  Most recently Mr. Baird was with Veracen for two years.  Prior to Veracen, he was Chief Financial Officer for with Kingsguard Advisors, a global macro hedge fund run by two former Goldman Sachs managers, and Ellington Management Group LLC, a quantitative manager based in Greenwich, CT where he was Controller for five years. Mr. Baird earned a BS degree from Assumption College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Jena Weaver Dietrich rejoins Turner as Director of Marketing, having served eight years previously in the same capacity for the firm and its affiliates. She has 21 years of investment marketing experience across a spectrum of business channels. Most recently, Ms. Dietrich was a Managing Director for Custom Institutional Fund Solutions, a consultancy to the investment management industry that specializes in helping firms launch mutual funds. Prior to her initial tenure at Turner, she was Director of Marketing for Philadelphia International Advisors and Vice President of Marketing for The Glenmede Trust Company. She earned a BA degree from Ursinus College and holds FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 licenses.

Erik Hagar, CFA joins Turner as Senior Portfolio Specialist, bringing 30 years of investment industry experience to the new role. Most recently he spent nine years at Vanguard as a Senior Investment Analyst within its Portfolio Review Group and as Head of Consultant Relations within the Institutional Sales Division. Prior to Vanguard, Mr. Hagar served as an active equity portfolio manager for The Glenmede Trust Company. He began his career as an equity and option specialist with membership privileges on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX). He earned a BS degree from Bucknell University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation as well as FINRA Series 6, 26, and 63 licenses.  He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia (president, 2009).
