Expanded our Expertise: Launched new Political Due Diligence practice area to provide immediate and long-term expertise and guidance to REITs, banks, asset managers and private equity funds seeking to make investments in properties or businesses where potential political risks exist at the local, state or national level.
Shaping Public Discourse & Engagement:
- Innovation Lanes: Created a structure to help Governors and local leaders re-design state regulatory processes to allow startups to move forward with new technologies and ultimately accelerate job creation.
- First 2016 Candidate Report Card: Partnered with the tech policy group Engine to create first-ever report card grading the 2016 presidential candidates - pass or fail - on issues critical to startups and technology including: encryption, patent reform, STEM education, high-skilled immigration reform, the gig economy, net neutrality and broadband access.
