Along with his wife, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, reality TV producer Jay Hix Jones started making patriotic crosses and Americana wall art several months ago in an attempt to help supplement income. Jones, "When most learn I'm a producer they immediately think I'm hanging out with celebrities and attending red carpets all the time, which couldn't be further from the truth. It's just like any job really, with not much security. I wanted to create a business that my entire family could do together and make a little extra cash on the side." The once small side project is quickly growing into a full time movement and they're just getting started.
Together, the family decided they didn't want to make just any product; it had to mean something and involve the kids. Jones, "we could all use a little bit more of God and Patriotism right now (especially), and what better way to showcase that than with a cross that honors both. Both of Jones' grandfathers were decorated WWII soldiers; one a POW and the other an MP assigned to high profile officials. Jones calls his grandfathers and anyone who serves in the military a hero, and has created a One For One Campaign to honor them. With every purchase at the company's online store, a Veteran will receive a free patriot cross. Jones' wife Kara says, "I'm most excited about the One for One Campaign, as it's our special way of honoring the service and sacrifice of all veterans."
All of the company's products are made in the USA and out of recycled pallet wood. The company is launching the online store at www.patriotcrosses.com this Veterans Day, Friday, November 11th, with up to 40% off selected crosses and wall art pieces. Plans are in place to give quite a few crosses away that day to Veterans all over the nation.
Jay Hix Jones is an American Reality Television Producer with credits on hits shows such as Emmy Winning "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", Emmy Winning "Ice Road Truckers", and Emmy Nominated "Hoarders".
