Twin Liquors Opens New Store in Mueller Retail Center
AUSTIN, Texas, April 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Austin-based Twin Liquors Fine Wine & Spirits has opened a new store in the Mueller Retail Center, located at 1801A E. 51st St., Suite 100. To celebrate the new location, the store hosted a grand opening on April 22. With about 200 in attendance, the vibrant occasion was filled with customers, political figures and industry leaders, including Tito Beveridge of Tito's Handmade Vodka, Ed and Susan Auler and Chad Auler of Fall Creek Vineyards and Deep Eddy Vodka, Charles Granger of Capitol Beverage, Pepe Zevada of Z Tequila, Dan Garrison of Garrison Brothers, Senator Joe Christie, and many more.
Rene Campos, ambassador from the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, marked the celebration with a ribbon cutting alongside David Jabour, president of Twin Liquors, and Margaret Jabour, executive vice president of Twin Liquors.
"Twin Liquors has roots in Austin dating back to 1937 and is run by the third generation of the Jabour family," Campos said. "This opening marks the 75th Twin Liquors location in Texas, a company that spans from Waco to San Antonio, and College Station to the Hill Country."
Campos enthusiastically continued, "The chamber is about commerce and business growth, which provides jobs for families. Twin Liquors employs more than 250 people in the Austin Metro area and more than 400 plus employees across their company, which means they provide for more than 400 families in Texas."
"We are a family company, and I, along with my sister Margaret, take pride in being part of each community we serve," David Jabour said. "The Mueller development is very special to us, because it is a blending of old and new Austin and is a tight knit community."
Margaret Jabour, speaking from the heart, added, "I want to highlight the importance of each and everyone in attendance and reaffirm that it is the great people in all of the communities Twin Liquors serves that allows for our company's strength and continuing expansion. We consider each and every one of you like family and want to truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being here."
David then made the closing remarks, "We are committed to being involved in community events, supporting more than 500 nonprofit events across Central Texas, including our very own Mueller partners Dell Children Hospital, Austin Children's Museum The Thinkery and The Ronald McDonald House."
During the event, Twin Liquors provided samplings of Veuve Clicquot Champagne, Treaty Oak Spirits, Barcelona Celler Wine, Twisted X Beer and Tito's Vodka. HEB catered the after party on their Mueller Cafe patio, and Twin gave away reusable cloth wine totes and VIP tickets to the Umlauf Garden Party to celebrate Earth Day.
