Two prestigious museums in Grand Rapids hosting world class exhibits on Betty Ford, Princess Diana
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The Grand Rapids Art Museum will host Diana – A Celebration, an award-winning exhibition showcasing the life and humanitarian work of one of the 20th century's most remarkable women, from Nov. 9 until Feb. 16. The exhibition's nine galleries will feature more than 150 personal objects including her royal wedding gown, 28 designer dresses, family heirlooms, personal mementos and rare home movies.

Tickets for Diana – A Celebration can be purchased at the GRAM information desk, online at startickets.com, by calling 1-800-585-3737 or in all Star Tickets locations in Michigan Meijer stores. Tickets must be purchased for a specific date and time. Ticket prices are set at $20 for adults, $18 for seniors/students, $15 for youth ages 6 – 17, free for children 5 and under, $15 for tour groups (defined at 10 or more) and $5 for GRAM members. Visitors who purchase their tickets at Star Tickets in Michigan Meijer stores will receive $3 off the adult admission price.
In addition to Diana – A Celebration, almost simultaneously, The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum is hosting Betty Ford – An Extraordinary Life, which runs from Oct. 27 through February 27, 2011. The exhibit will feature those items that speak to Mrs. Ford's unique life – from her Grand Rapids upbringing to a career in fashion and dance, to a congressman's wife, First Lady, to helping millions with breast cancer awareness and overcoming for herself and helping others defeat chemical dependency.
