Two Locking Mechanisms on One Bike Lock Give Consumers a Fresh Option

SOLVANG, Calif., Aug. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Option Lock, LLC today announced they will debut their bike lock product, The Option Lock, at Interbike 2018 in Reno Tahoe. This one-of-a-kind bike lock has two crossbars with a locking mechanism on each bar. This gives consumers the option of breaking the lock down into four pieces for easy toting and locking and unlocking a bike from multiple directions.

The newly patented design allows users of the Option Lock to enjoy one of two locking mechanisms for easy lock access. To use the lock, bikers unlock the Option Lock from one of the cross-bars and places it around the bike and rack or pole. Once the bike lock is secured, it doesn't matter if the bike lock rotates, gets weighed down or gets stuck between other bikes, one of the two locking mechanism will always be more available than the other. The user has the option to choose which crossbar is easiest to access and unlock the bike from there.

This dual cross-bar feature, each with its own locking mechanism, enables the Option Lock to be broken down into two, three or four pieces. This allows for ease of storage and toting. Bikers can store the Option Lock in the provided Velcro mounting case which can be hung on the bike frame or handle bars. The Option Lock can also be carried in a backpack, satchel, cross-body bag or purse.
