Two Senior Professionals Rejoin MLV & Co. as it Expands its Investment Banking Franchise

NEW YORK, May 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MLV & Co. ("MLV"), a full-service boutique investment bank and institutional broker dealer, is pleased to announce a significant expansion of its Energy investment banking franchise with the addition of two senior professionals, Seth Appel and Matt Feinberg, who have recently rejoined the firm. Mr. Appel will serve as a Managing Director and Co-Head of the firm's Energy Group and Mr. Feinberg will serve as a Managing Director in the Energy Group.

Through the first four months of 2015, MLV has filed approximately $1.27 billion in 30 ATM's. This compares with approximately $1.7 billion of ATM's for all of 2014. If this trends continues, MLV expects to at least double the dollar amount of ATM's filed in 2015 over 2014.

MLV has also led or co-managed 23 traditional offerings year to date (a growth rate of approximately 21% versus the same period last year).

Prior to rejoining MLV, Mr. Appel was a Senior Managing Director and Head of Natural Resources Investment Banking at U.S. Capital Advisors. Previously, Mr. Appel worked at Knight Capital Markets as a Vice-President of Listed Trading and served as a listed trader and NASDAQ market maker for 12 years. Mr. Appel began his career as a public accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co. Mr. Appel is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree from The George Washington University, and received his M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from the New York University Stern School of Business.

Prior to rejoining MLV, Mr. Feinberg was a Managing Director in the Natural Resources Investment Banking group at U.S. Capital Advisors. Previously, Matt also served in the investment banking division and alternative investment division of Credit Suisse for 6 years. Mr. Feinberg graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
