Txai Terravista - Trancoso to Offer the Best Golf Course in South America

SAO PAULO, Oct. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Located within the Terravista Tourist Complex, and developed by BHG S.A. - Brazil Hospitality Group, Txai Terravista Trancoso will have units for sale with Txai Resorts hotel service, offering customers a unique experience. The blueprint bears the signature of architect Patricia Anastassiadis, while landscape design has been undertaken by Gil Fialho. The complex will have 69 units divided into Bungalows, Villas and Residences, created from a concept of sustainability and integration with nature, to offer guests a unique experience of wellbeing. Patricia Anastassiadis also signed off on the interior design of the resort, and Villa and Bungalow units are to be sold in a condo-hotel format, fully furnished and decorated in keeping with the standards of Txai Resorts.

The development will be situated in an area of approximately 70 thousand square meters, and its infrastructure will include a restaurant with wine cellar, a kids club, lounge, space for small conventions, a pool, poolside bar, fitness center and even a wonderful complete spa, with wet and dry saunas, hydromassage, massage rooms and beauty treatment rooms.

The facility will also avail itself of all locally available infrastructure, such as a private airport and heliport, and a spectacular golf course which hosts championships and international events every year.

Beyond its international reputation, the golf course can also be used by guests and owners.  Spread out over an area of more than 300 hectares, the course was designed in tune with the natural relief of the terrain, without the need for any major disruption.  All of the topography and vegetation in the surrounding area were preserved and treated as hazards and features for players, a practice known internationally as "ecological golf." The front nine (holes 1 to 9) is inserted into a setting surrounded by the protected Mata Atlantica rainforest, with characteristic temperature and humidity, while the back nine (holes 10 to 18) is played close to the beach, with 4 holes right beside the sea, up on the cliffs where the wind can get into the game, demanding greater skill from golfers.

Txai Terravista Trancoso is expecting to break ground in July of 2012, with a projected start of operations in December of 2014.
