Tyber Medical Elects Arthur Alfaro As Board Member

MORRISTOWN, N.J., Aug. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Tyber Medical, a privately held medical device company focused on developing innovative spine and orthopaedic devices for private label opportunities, announces the election of Arthur Alfaro to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Arthur Alfaro was a founder of Nextremity Solutions, Inc. and ORTHOCON, Inc. (Abyrx, Inc.) where he held the position of President, CEO and Director at both companies. He also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Osteotech, Inc. and President, Sofamor Danek Thoracolumbar, which was acquired by Medtronic Inc. for $3.4 billion. In addition, he held various senior executive positions that included General Manager, Worldwide Operations, Sulzer Carbomedics, Inc. and Vice President Corporate Sales & Marketing, Boston Scientific Corp. where he participated in the company's IPO. He was later promoted at Boston Scientific to Vice President & General Manager, Microvasive. Mr. Alfaro holds a BS degree from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
