U-Haul of Stratford Square Announces Plans for Expansion

"We are excited to reveal the plans for U-Haul Moving & Storage of Stratford Square II," said Angela Farley, U-Haul Company of Chicago Western Suburbs president. "Climate-controlled self-storage is a much-needed service that our customers demand. This is going to be huge for Hanover Park."

There will be 112 climate-controlled self-storage rooms at the new facility when renovations are completed this spring. A 2,189-square-foot showroom at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Stratford Square II replaces a much smaller showroom at the original store and offers customers access to a full line of moving supplies.

"This will be a one-stop shop for moving and self-storage," Farley said. "There isn't a lot of climate-controlled storage in this area, so we are excited to bring our state-of-the-art technology, security and affordability to these customers."

Farley said the expansion will lead to several new positions at the store. U-Haul will look to hire locally to promote job growth within the Hanover Park community.
