Ubitus' First in the World Cloud-Enabled MMORPG Gaming Technology Achieved Half-a-Million User Milestone Over NTT DOCOMO LTE Network
TOKYO, March 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ubitus Inc., the technology leader enabling interactive rich media cloud services, today announced that more than 500,000 users have downloaded its cloud gaming service, G CLOUD, co-operated with NHN Japan over NTT DOCOMO's LTE platform.
Launched on October 15th, 2011, Ubitus offered popular MMORPG title Dragon Nest and old-time favorite console game Sonic Adventure through G CLOUD. It was the world's first-ever commercial cloud gaming service offering MMO and has quickly reached hundreds of thousands of download users within a couple of months. More importantly, it was also the world's first commercial cloud gaming service that enables in-app billing that integrates directly with a telecom's payment option.
Ubitus GameCloud® Technology specializes in rendering games that require graphics computing on the server cloud and processes gaming media into streaming videos. Without any download or installation of the games, device users can instantly access the high-quality cloud-based games by the pre-bundled interface. Currently G CLOUD is available among six LTE devices, including two tablets and four smartphones from four manufacturers.
