UCA Holdings' Ken Glass Receives University of Cincinnati College of Engineering & Applied Science Lifetime Achievement Award
CINCINNATI, May 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- UCA Holdings, Inc., the parent company of the TECT family of businesses, announced that Chairman and CEO Kenneth Glass received the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering & Applied Science Lifetime Achievement Award. The All-College Awards Banquet held on Friday, May 13, at the Hilton Netherland Plaza in Cincinnati, recognized alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their alma mater and the organizations they have served during their careers.
Mr. Glass received a degree in mechanical engineering in 1963 and a Master of Science in aerospace engineering in 1965, both from the University of Cincinnati.

Ken is recognized as one of the country's leading experts in crisis management and turnarounds. His functional background includes operations, manufacturing, engineering and finance, plus extensive experience in Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations. Mr. Glass' expertise also includes multi-plant, multi-industry operations as CEO, the restructuring of troubled businesses through acquisition and divestiture strategies, and cost-cutting and creative financial designs. He is the founder of Glass & Associates – which was a premier independent turnaround consulting firm with offices throughout the United States and Europe until its acquisition by Huron Consulting in January 2007. Ken Glass is a former board member of the Turnaround Management Association and is a past president of the Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals. Ken resides in Asheville, N.C. with his wife, Nancy, who is also a University of Cincinnati alumnus.
