NEW YORK, April 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- I.M.G. – Get ready for a British invasion this summer! London rapper Jamieson premieres new music video for "Rebel With A Cause", the first single off forthcoming EP I Came, I Saw Vol. III. Directed by Bryan Prevatte, Jamieson lyrically assassinates the Vintage produced beat alongside featured rapper K.I.N.E.T.I.K. The in your face anthem is an introduction to the rapper's determination to succeed despite what life has thrown at him.
The London born lyricist got his start in music as a producer and naturally graduated to the pen. With an opportunity to intern at SRC Records on the table in the winter of 2005, Jamieson packed his bags and set up shop in the South Bronx section of New York City.
Fast forward a few years later, Jamieson is collaborating with some of New York's hottest rappers such as Emilio Rojas, Sean Price and Joell Ortiz and opening for the likes of Akon in-front of a crowd 8,000 and Mobb Deep for Hot 97's Who's Next Live at SOB's. His gritty lyrical ability has not gone unnoticed and even caught the eye of industry heavyweights such as Doug Morris (CEO, Sony Music), RZA, Yelawolf, B-Real of Cypress Hill and more.
"Honestly? I think he's one of the best MCs to come out of London. That's a big statement. He's spit in front of RZA; he went toe-to-toe with Asher Roth…" says Steve Rifkind, CEO of SRC.
"Of all three EPs I would have to say this volume is probably the best representation of me musically, and probably the best depiction of my journey thus far," Jamieson says. "When I started working on the series, I had no idea what the final volume would sound like but I'm proud of how it all turned out and the journey I've been through."
With the infectious lead single "I Get Busy" also impacting this spring, the third and final installment in the I Came, I Saw series will leave any reservations about U.K. hip-hop artists left behind and establish Jamieson as one of hip-hop's most versatile lyricists.
