Ulta Beauty Signs a New Lease at Tollgate Marketplace; Power Center getting a Facelift
OAK BROOK, Ill., June 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Retail Properties of America, Inc. (NYSE:RPAI or the "Company") announced today it has signed a new lease with Ulta Beauty at Tollgate Marketplace in Bel Air, Maryland. Since the beginning of 2014, the Company has signed six new leases with Ulta Beauty, representing approximately 62,800 square feet. In addition, Tollgate Marketplace is undergoing numerous facade upgrades to modernize the center.
Ulta Beauty is the largest beauty retailer providing one-stop shopping for salon products and services in the United States. Ulta Beauty will occupy approximately 11,000 square feet and will join a strong mix of retailers, including T.J. Maxx, Michaels and Party City. The retailer now has 15 locations across RPAI's portfolio.
In addition, the property is undergoing various facade upgrades to improve tenant sightlines and increase overall visibility to retailers, including the removal of metal roofing and cement pillars, larger sidewalks, new awnings, fresh paint and improved store signage.
