BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Even though the challenges facing overweight women seem to dominate headlines, obese men face similar obstacles in dealing with how their weight affects their job performance, personal relationships, and general health issues. That's why Khalili Center, a one-of-a-kind surgical practice offering a comprehensive approach to weight loss, has established a Men's Support Group specifically recognizing support needs for their male patients.
This unique exclusively male support group, led by Dr. Howard Gluss, PhD, gives men the opportunity to discuss the challenges of obesity and weight gain/loss in a setting affording them open and frank discussions. The group is open to male weight loss surgery patients or any males experiencing issues from being overweight in the Greater Los Angeles area and is free of charge.
The first Men's Support Group will be held on February 20th, and the topic is "Men, Obesity, Sex and Intimacy" beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Khalili Center in Beverly Hills. Subsequent meetings will be held the third Thursday of each month.
