United Land Consultants LLC Announces Plans for South Florida Indoor Motocross, Ski and Surf Park
Former founder of Pepsi Air Dania Motocross Park plans new venue in response to public demand
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Brian Penick, ULC's President, was founder of the former history-making "Pepsi Air Dania Motocross Park" on Collins Road in Dania Beach that was opened in 1994 and closed in 2005 for warehouse use.
Brian and his team have shifted their efforts from an indoor park in Nevada back to his home here in South Florida.
This was only after an outpouring from former members, sponsors and their families starting a Facebook page dedicated to the memory of their former home. Asking Brian, "Please, do not leave us behind." Brian was so moved by all of the people who still mourn the loss of the park and the need to fill the void that still exists eight years after the close of Air Dania.
Brian examined the feasibility of an indoor park in S. Florida, with the reality of a sound business plan first. He said, "Of the three main activities, not presently available in S. Florida, it would likely be a fiscal challenge for any one of them to stand on their own in this market."
However, collectively the Indoor Motocross, Indoor Skiing (real snow) and Indoor Surfing (real water) would work. The countless industries related to the park will be pleased, as PepsiCo has conveyed their interest to continue the relationship they enjoyed for a decade at Pepsi Air Dania. The motocross portion is the foundation for the venue as it involves an industry-changing racing program, which has never been done before and is long overdue. The racing program is the brainchild of Gary Barbere, who is credited with a unique scoring methodology that is utilized today for the world championship qualifiers in harness racing. Gary's late son Darren was also a pro motocross racer that, as with all families they were a team. Gary has devised a well thought out method of league formats that will change an antiquated industry.
The paramount factor for the new format is creating the path that financially rewards participants in a sport that is also considered the ultimate "Glue" for families.
ULC will be evaluating underutilized and potential Brownfield's sites for a projected 15 plus acres to accommodate a 200,000+ sf building. Brian and his team have utter resolve to see it through fruition for South Florida with the same dedication as they had with Pepsi Air Dania Motocross Park. They welcome public and private land opportunities for potential compatibility in fulfilling project requirements.
The new park would be hosting fundraisers for charities just as Air Dania did. In addition there will be mentor training for all who may need it. The programs in the initial model include Audio Visual Training, Photography, Home Improvement, Heavy Equipment Training, Youth Boxing, Martial Arts, Computer Training, Business / Invention Mentoring and more.
Brian witnessed the need for mentor programs from years at the former park; he and his team are now offering all of their experiences to bear, with over 100 years of combined knowledge for this project. Saying, "Our future is our kids and they must have the ability to follow their dreams without compromise to maximize their own potential." Simply making a difference and filling a void, to helping family unity, community betterment programs, charities, environment, and all related industries globally.
United Land Consultants will follow up with updates and additional details on project. The Media/Sponsor Kit was not available at press time, as it is predicated on final site selection.
