SEOUL, South Korea, Oct. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On the 30th, UNITEPLUG (CEO: Ryu, Seong Bum, http://www.uniteplug.com) announced the official release of 'iLang Story,' an educational app for tablet PCs.
'iLang Story' is an educational app developed for tablet PCs that reads classic children's stories and fairytales from around the world using animation, translation and voice recording controls. In addition to the basic functions, this app offers an 'edit' function that enables users to create their very own fairytales by controlling characters scene by scene while recording their own voices. Using this function, children can create their own stories or parents can record their voices and then replay the contents to their children.
'iLang Story' supports four languages, English, Chinese and Japanese as well as Korean. The scripts are written and read in four languages by native speakers. Users can also adjust the rate of translation thus helping them develop their foreign language skills at their own pace.
"iLang Story provides a familiar and a natural way of learning languages, which is different from the conventional learning techniques that focus on memorizing words and sentences. Children can naturally learn to understand new languages. In addition to helping children practice speaking and thinking in foreign languages, this app encourages communication between children and their parents," explained UNITEPLUG CEO Ryu, Seong Bum. "Our goal is to develop iLang Story as a global app by supporting different languages in addition to the currently available English, Chinese and Japanese. We will continuously update the app to provide diverse contents."
As an application developed for tablet PCs and Smartphone, 'iLang Story' is already released in Android version and can be downloaded for free from Google's Play Store. iOS version will be released soon. When the app is first downloaded it offers some content for free. Additional content can be added at $2.99 per book.
