Univar Solutions Receives Award for Excellence in Product Safety
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Aug. 27, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Univar Solutions Inc. (NYSE: UNVR) ("Univar Solutions" or "the Company"), a global chemical and ingredient distributor and provider of value-added services, announced today that the BNSF Railway Company (BNSF) recently honored Univar Solutions with the railroad's annual Product Stewardship Award for the safe transportation of hazardous materials by rail during 2019. The award recognized a total of 106 companies that transported an established minimum of loaded tank cars of hazardous materials with zero non-accident releases during the full transportation cycle throughout the year. Award recipients were also recognized for upholding the ethics of Product Stewardship under the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care® initiative.
