University of Arizona Selects Panopto as Campus-wide Video Platform, Captures Over 30,000 Hours of Lecture Recordings

The Challenge: Standardize Lecture Capture Across a Campus of 42,000 Students
Like many institutions, the University of Arizona initially adopted lecture capture at a departmental level. This proved the potential of video technology as a valuable study aid. However, it required the university to maintain a variety of systems across campus, which created IT complexity and resulted in an inconsistent learning experience for students.
To simplify IT management and standardize the way that students consume online learning materials, the university sought a lecture capture solution that could scale to a single, campus-wide deployment.

In the last year alone, faculty captured and shared nearly 30 thousand hours of recorded content with their students. Over the same period, students at Arizona watched nearly 270 thousand hours of video, studying for tests, reviewing concepts covered in class, and learning at a personalized pace.
