University of Louisiana System Expands Scaffold DataX by K16 Solutions to Five Additional Campuses

CHANDLER, Ariz., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- K16 Solutions Inc. and the University of Louisiana System today announced a significant expansion of Scaffold DataX, extending the automated data warehouse and reporting platform to the remaining five UL System campuses: McNeese State University, Nicholls State University, Northwestern State University, Southeastern Louisiana University, and University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The decision follows a successful initial rollout at Grambling State University, Louisiana Tech University, and the University of Louisiana Monroe, where DataX is already delivering unified reporting and analysis across each institution's core enterprise systems.

Across those first deployments, DataX pulls data from Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Recruit, Workday, Slate, and Canvas LMS into a single governed environment, replacing disconnected systems and manual reconciliation with reporting that leaders can trust. And that data doesn't stop at the campus level. It flows up into the UL System office, giving system leadership a consistent, real-time view across member institutions for the first time.

A central driver of this broader initiative is financial cash reporting. As detailed in a June 2026 EDUCAUSE Review case study on ULM's data transformation, K16 built and validated a cash-reporting blueprint in DataX that directly addresses a January 2026 UL System Board of Supervisors directive to automate manual, time-consuming financial processes and provide "right-time" access to cash status. Cash-reporting dashboards are now live at both the ULM and UL System levels, aligned to month-end close timelines, giving finance teams and the Board a timely, trusted view of institutional financial health. That proof point – automating a high-stakes, previously manual process and delivering it to each campus and the system – became a catalyst for extending DataX across the rest of the system.

Beyond finance, DataX has produced governed reporting blueprints for completers, census enrollment, and the student applicant funnel, reducing the manual reporting burden on institutional research teams while improving the speed and reliability of data reported to the system office and the Board of Regents. With those blueprints proven and templated, the expansion is designed to bring the same capabilities to the five additional institutions with far less effort than a first-time build.
