Upcoming TV Special 'The Making of The World's Heaviest Float' Offers an Exclusive Behind the Scenes Look at the Making of a Guinness World Record-Breaking Parade Float

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Following up on last year's wildly successful program, The Making of the World's Longest Float, which was hailed by the LA Times as "... a new holiday classic" comes The Making of the World's Heaviest Float, airing across the country on Saturday, December 18th and Sunday, December 19th. This unforgettable Holiday treat documents the making of Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance Pet Foods® 2011 Rose Parade showstopper. The float showcases a variety of 'daredevil dogs' skimboarding and dock diving, features over 4,000 gallons of water, weighs 35 tons and will achieve the Guinness World Record for the "World's Heaviest Float."  

Viewers will have the opportunity to join the Natural Balance® team of dogs led by Tillman the "World's Fastest Skateboarding Dog" along with his bulldog sidekicks Rose, Lyle and Sully as they train for the upcoming 2011 Rose Parade. This extreme puppy posse along with new friends Porter, Hollywood and Luigi will show off their skimboarding skills on their own private moving beach. In addition the float will also have a lagoon and waterfall feature, where a team of dock jumping 'flying dogs' will launch up in the air and into the water creating huge splashes of delight.

2011 marks the third year that the Rose Parade has featured a float from Natural Balance Pet Foods®. Last year's float featuring Tillman and his four-legged pals snowboarding was among the most beloved float presentations and was certified by Guinness as the "World's Longest Float."
