Updata Advisors Promotes David Dolan and Patrick Chang

NEW YORK and RESTON, Va., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Updata Advisors, Inc. is pleased to announce today the promotions of David Dolan to Vice President and Patrick Chang to Associate, effective January 1. Through their diligent work efforts and high-quality work product, both David and Patrick have added tremendous value and important industry insight to Updata's advisory business.

David Dolan

David joined Updata Advisors in 2008 as an Associate, bringing with him three years of investment banking experience. Since 2008, David has worked on numerous high-profile transactions, broadening his knowledge and experience in the Enterprise Application Software, Healthcare IT and Infrastructure Software sectors.

Prior to Updata, David was an Associate in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., completing transactions in the Biotech, Healthcare IT, Healthcare Services, Med Tech and Specialty Pharma sectors. Previously, David worked for American Express Financial Advisors as a registered representative and at the Milestone Group as a Regional Director.

David received an M.B.A. in Finance and Management from Fordham University Graduate School for Business Administration, and a B.S. in Finance from George Mason University.

Patrick Chang

Patrick joined Updata Advisors is 2008, bringing with him significant M&A experience from his previous positions. Patrick has worked extensively on many Updata transactions, expanding his industry knowledge of the Financial Technology, Internet and IT Security sectors.

Prior to joining Updata, Patrick was an Associate at Oberon Securities where he focused on evaluating and executing strategic M&A and divestiture transactions for small- to mid-cap clients in multiple industries. Before Oberon, Patrick completed the investment banking analyst program at Banc of America Securities in the Technology, Media and Telecom group. He was also previously an Analyst at Lehman Brothers covering Technology, Media and Telecom.

Patrick graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a B.S. in Management and a concentration in Banking and Finance and Entrepreneurship.
