2010 International Data Base Update — This data series updates the estimates and projections that serve as a consistent set of demographic indicators — population size and growth, mortality, fertility and net migration — for 227 countries and other areas of the world with populations of 5,000 or more. For all such countries and areas, estimates and projections are provided by sex and age to 100 years and older. This update reflects revisions to 18 countries.
The estimates and projections for the United States and Puerto Rico do not incorporate the 2010 Census results released earlier this month. The estimates and projections for the U.S. Island Areas of American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands do not incorporate the 2010 Census results that are scheduled for release in 2012 and 2013.
