DENVER, Jan. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- For five thousand years, trees have been providing the material for ski making. Colorado ski maker, SKILOGIK, turned that around today by providing funds to plant 3,000 trees in a rainforest restoration project being carried out by The Nature Conservancy. The trees will be used to help restore and preserve threatened portions of Brazil's Atlantic Rainforest.

His company's sustainable practices include making donations to have a tree planted for every pair of skis it produces.

Skilogik presented its donation to The Nature Conservancy at the SIA Snow Show in Denver, the annual trade show for the ski and snowboard industry.
