U.S. & Chinese Leaders Go Electric at 2015 Climate Leaders Summit

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- 400 of the most important leaders in the free world gathered in Los Angeles this week to collaborate on strategies to improve global stewardship and battle man-made factors effecting climate change.  "The two most important global powers straddle the Pacific Ocean," said Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti at Monday's opening reception.  "It is up to the leaders of China and the United States, The Climate Leaders, to drive the solutions that the rest of the world will follow."  Featured in the opening video at Tuesday's plenary session was BYD Motors, a California electric vehicle and green-tech leader that has become a point of pride for Los Angeles County.

Also in attendance were 7 of BYD's industry leading electric buses.  Ranging in length from 23 to 40 feet, and varying from transit to charter coach and luxury configurations the buses were selected to transport the governors, mayors and other dignitaries to offset the carbon footprint of the conference as well as showcase the world changing products that are being produced in Los Angeles county.
