US Dataworks Announces Clearingworks™ Platform is Open for Apps
This strategic product development opens the door for innovators to extend the Clearingworks enterprise-class payment processing service with market-specific Apps
SUGAR LAND, Texas, Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- US Dataworks, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: UDWK), a leader in payment processing solutions, announced today that the Clearingworks Platform now has the ability for Apps to be developed and implemented using our unique "drop-in" process. Clearingworks' open architecture enables US Dataworks, our clients, and even third-party developers to implement Apps specific to their business needs, all while maintaining the security and integrity of our core payment processing. This bold move to foster App development within the payments community is a first among traditional payment processors but is consistent with US Dataworks' commitment to innovation and providing a superior customer experience.
Changes in the payment processing world are widely discussed by analysts. In fact, a recent Gartner report stated that, "consumers' and merchants' immediate requirements are for payment instruments tailored to solve specific problems." * The App-friendly Clearingworks Platform promotes greater innovation in shorter periods of time by enabling business-users and developers to create their own specific Apps. Apps can now be plugged directly into the Clearingworks Platform to further extend our core payment processing for all payment channels. Combined with the Clearingworks cloud computing environment and monthly subscription model, customers of all sizes can save on IT costs and implement quick, reliable solutions to their business problems.
"This is a major milestone in our company's history. Not only have we entered the growing App market, but this platform change also gives us the flexibility to better respond to customer demands," states David Depinet, CTO of US Dataworks. "As a trusted provider of payment processing solutions, the Clearingworks App strategy will be a cornerstone in the evolution of payment processing."
The first App to be launched on the Clearingworks Platform was the PayItFast™ App for processing walk-in payments. Additional Apps are scheduled to be released later this quarter. All Apps developed must be certified in the market and installed using our unique "drop-in" licensing process. Apps will be priced individually in the market based on primary business functionality.
Clearingworks is built on the four pillars of payment processing:
- ClearPayments - Comprehensive, multi-channel payment processing for paper checks, Internet, phone payments, lock-box, and electronic bill-pay.
- ClearDeposits - Multiple deposits and clearing for Automated Clearing House (ACH), Check21, and credit/debit cards.
- ClearReturns - Automated returns matching, resubmissions, posting of final returns, and fee assessments.
- ClearInsights - Integrated retention and retrieval of payment data and images with powerful, payment analytics.
