Through the company's support of the Grand Rounds program, the National Kidney Foundation is able to maximize its impact.
ENGLEWOOD, N.J., Nov. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Standard Products is proud to support the National Kidney Foundation in its mission to improve awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease. For the past three years, U.S. Standard Products has funded a grant that enables the National Kidney Foundation to present 10-12 Medical Grand Rounds at various hospitals in the Greater New York area.
Medical Grand Rounds, presented by the National Kidney Foundation, are continuing education events, hosted in hospitals to help keep healthcare professionals abreast of the most cutting-edge research, knowledge and industry advancements. Thought leaders are brought in to speak on a wide variety of kidney health-related topics. The grant provided by U.S. Standard Products supports the honorarium for these speakers.
"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to support an organization that combats the issue of kidney disease where it matters most—with professional development," U.S. Standard Products President JoJo Rubach said.
The National Kidney Foundation Serving Greater New York specifically focuses on presenting Grand Rounds in underserved areas and hospitals that serve many patients with diabetes and hypertension, the two leading causes of kidney failure. The goal of the Grand Rounds isn't just to educate healthcare practitioners about kidney disease, it's also to inspire a change in practice and transform the way that care is delivered.
